CPS Model 7101 is a single output, constant current ,+/- 8 kV AC power supply.

AC Waveform

Optimized for Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) equipment, the 7101 provides a square waveform of balanced positive and negative current. Maximum RMS current is 1mA at a voltage of up to 8 kV per polarity, or 16 kV peak-to-peak. Default frequency is 400Hz, configurable from 5HZ to 2000Hz.

Output Control

HV output provides balanced positive and negative voltages with respect to ground. Output amplitude is current-controlled with an analog program input. A program voltage of 2.5 VDC to 5.0 VDC provides linear proportional adjustment of the output current from 500uA up to 1mA RMS.

In addition, a clock signal is provided on the connector to allow multiple 7101 units to be synchronized with or without a 180 degree phase shift.

Metering

The 7101 provides a Voltage monitor signal. A monitor value of up to 8VDC is directly proportional to the average absolute peak voltage.
