DESCRIPTION

Model XPS50P50 is a precision power supply intended for X-ray generators. It has two outputs: a constant HV output for the anode and a modulated current output for filament power. The unit automatically varies the filament current to maintain constant beam current.

The unit provides filament protection by limiting the maximum filament current to a user-defined value, which is programmed via a front panel trimpot. An interlock input is provided to allow easy integration of safety systems; HV generation is disabled when the interlock input is disconnected.

Control methods

The anode voltage and beam current can be controlled either locally, by front panel trimpots, or remotely by applying programming voltages from external sources such as digital-to-analog converters or external potentiometers. A +10 V reference output is available for the latter.
